The person behind the stories
Jodi Taylor writes the Chronicles of St Mary’s, the Time Police and Smallhope & Pennyroyal: three connected series built around history and its troublesome visitors. Her other fictional worlds include the supernatural Elizabeth Cage thrillers and Frogmorton Farm.
Headline author biography ↗In her own account of becoming an author, Taylor describes starting to write after a career in local government and retiring to Turkey. A longstanding interest in history helped inspire St Mary’s and its hands-on approach to the past.
